Yes – the NHS Superannuation Scheme (Scotland) is statutory and guaranteed by law, providing pensions and life assurance for those employed by the NHS in Scotland. The scheme is set out in Regulations approved by the Scottish Parliament and HM Treasury who underwrite the scheme.
