Honour their legacy: Armed Forces Talent Programme and Remembrance Sunday

What is Remembrance Sunday?

As Remembrance Sunday approaches, we reflect on the courage and dedication of those who have served in and supported our Armed Forces. This day is a time to honour their sacrifices and recognise and celebrate their talents and contributions beyond the battlefield.

The Armed Forces Talent Programme

The NHSScotland Armed Forces Talent Programme (AFTP) is designed to acknowledge and harness the unique skills of veterans and service members. By offering support and development opportunities, this initiative facilitates the transition of military talent into the NHS. It also showcases the invaluable qualities they bring—leadership, resilience, and adaptability.

By engaging with AFTP, you access these pathways and use your skills to benefit our health and social care services and wider communities.

How you can get involved

You can get involved by attending Remembrance events and joining local ceremonies. Your presence is a powerful reminder of our collective gratitude.

Together, let’s honour the legacy of our armed forces by investing in the future of our talented veterans. This Remembrance Sunday, let us not only remember but also uplift and empower those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.

Remember. Honour. Empower.
